Dr. Kaniz Fatema (Papri)

Dr Kaniz Fatema. Most people call her Papri though. I am not sure how she got the nickname but it makes her feel more approachable before you even meet her. She is a Consultant in Gynaecology and Obstetrics. MBBS and FCPS in Obs and Gynae. So the training is solid. A colleague of mine saw her last year and said she was nervous coming in but Dr Kaniz has this way of making you feel at ease. She jokes a little. Asks about your life. Not in a fake way either. She genuinely seems interested. And when it is time to talk about the medical stuff she gets straight to the point. No beating around the bush. No sugarcoating. But she does it gently if that makes sense. Hard to find a doctor who can do both. Be warm and be honest at the same time. If you want someone who will treat you like a person first and a patient second, Dr Kaniz Fatema Papri is a good choice.
