Dr. Md Arifur Rahman

Dr. Md Arifur Rahman is a Consultant Cardiac Surgeon with a professional background in adult cardiac and vascular surgery. He completed his MBBS from Sir Salimullah Medical College & Hospital in 2001 and earned MS in Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgery from NICVD under Dhaka University in 2013.

His cardiac surgery career began at National Heart Foundation Hospital & Research Institute, where he worked as a Medical Officer from 2003. He later joined Bangladesh Government service as an Assistant Civil Surgeon. After completing his MS, he moved into specialized cardiac practice and joined United Hospital Ltd, Gulshan, in 2013.

At United Hospital, Dr. Rahman worked under renowned cardiac surgeon Dr. Jahangir Kabir and received training in adult and congenital cardiac surgery. His experience included particular exposure to off-pump coronary artery bypass grafting, commonly known as beating-heart CABG. He later served at Bangladesh Specialized Hospital and Khwaja Yunus Ali Medical College Hospital.

Since 2021, Dr. Rahman has been working as a Consultant Cardiac Surgeon at Green Life Heart Center. His surgical capabilities include beating-heart CABG, valve replacement, heart tumour surgery, ASD and VSD closure, PDA ligation, and vascular surgery. His experience also includes congenital cardiac procedures and pump-assisted operations.
