He checks blood pressure. Listens to the chest. He probably types his own notes on a computer instead of writing them by hand. US habit maybe. Patients bring in plastic bags full of old medicines. He just tells them to stop taking half of them. Too many pills. Just keep the blood pressure one and the diabetes one. He speaks quietly. No big lectures about diet. Just tells them to walk thirty minutes a day. The printer on his desk spits out the new prescription. He signs it with a regular pen. Tells them to pay at the billing counter outside.
