Dr. Mohammad Kamrul Islam

Dr. Md Kamrul Islam is an associate professor at CIMCH. Medicine department. MBBS and FCPS. He has that MACP from America too. Probably got a thick paper certificate in the mail for it. It is maybe hanging on the wall behind him. Or just sitting in a drawer somewhere. He sees a lot of regular sickness. People coughing for weeks. Older guys with chest pain that turns out to be just bad digestion. He sits at his desk. The chair probably leans a bit to the left. He just listens to them talk. Sort of nodding. He writes down some tests on a pad. CBC. Urine routine. Just basic stuff to see what is going on.

The medicine ward gets pretty loud during visiting hours. Too many relatives trying to bring in home cooked food in plastic boxes. He walks through the beds. Checking the clipboards hanging at the foot of the metal frames. He looks at the temperature graphs. Just jagged lines drawn with a blue pen. He tells the nurses to give paracetamol if the fever spikes again. He teaches the medical students too. Shows them how to listen to a heart murmur. They probably cannot hear it over the noise of the ceiling fans anyway. He just tells them to keep practicing. He finishes his round. Puts his stethoscope in his pocket. Walks out.
