About Dr Sayera Banu

Dr Sayera Banu is the Head of the Programme for Emerging Infections. With an MD and FCPS, she leads efforts to detect, monitor, and respond to new and re-emerging infectious diseases. Her work is at the forefront of global health security, playing a critical role in preventing and controlling outbreaks of diseases like influenza, Nipah virus, and COVID-19.
