Prof. Dr. Md. Musharaf Hossain is the head of the eye department. MBBS, FCPS, MS. He has been looking at retinas for a long time. His room is probably very dark. Heavy curtains pulled tight. He makes a tiny cut. Breaks up the old cloudy lens with a machine that hums quietly. Sucks it out. Puts a folded plastic lens in. It unfolds inside the eye. He tapes a clear plastic shield over it. Takes off his mask. Washes his hands.
