Professor Dr. M Monir Hossain

Prof. Dr. M. Monir Hossain is a Paediatric and Neonatal Specialist with MBBS, DCH, MD and FCPS in Paediatrics, along with a PhD from the University of Dhaka. He also holds FRCPCH from the UK and FRCP qualifications from Edinburgh and Glasgow. He serves as Professor of Neonatal Medicine and NICU at Bangladesh Shishu Hospital & Institute. He is also Chief Consultant for NICU, PICU and Paediatrics at Universal Medical College & Hospital Ltd. His work covers newborns and children of different ages. Premature babies and infants with birth complications may need close care in the NICU. Childhood infections, congenital conditions and nutritional problems are also part of his clinical work. Some children need a routine check. Others arrive with much more serious symptoms.

Dr. Monir Hossain also deals with developmental assessment, immunization and paediatric critical care.
