Professor Dr. Major Abdul Mannan (Retd.)

Prof. Dr. Major Abdul Mannan (Retd.) is an Orthopaedic, Trauma and Spine Surgeon with MBBS, PGC in Surgery and MS in Orthopaedics. He completed his MBBS from Sher-E-Bangla Medical College, Barisal, in 1980 and later earned his MS in Orthopaedics from NITOR in 1998. He also completed his PGC in Surgery through the Army Faculty of Military Medicine. His medical career with the Army Medical Corps began in 1986, with service at several Combined Military Hospitals. His work covers bone and joint problems, accident related injuries and spinal conditions. Knee and hip replacement, arthroscopic surgery and trauma management are among his areas of experience. Spine surgery is also part of his practice.

Dr. Abdul Mannan has received further training in arthroscopy, joint replacement and spine surgery in India. He now works as Senior Consultant in Orthopaedics, Trauma and Spine Surgery at Asgar Ali Hospital, Dhaka. He is also a Professor of Orthopaedics at Sher-E-Bangla Medical College and Hospital.
