Dr. Hasina Begum

Dr. Hasina Begum has been caring for women with pregnancy and gynecological concerns for around seventeen years. Some patients come for their first antenatal visit. Others arrive because of infertility, ovarian cysts, heavy menstrual bleeding, or long-term pelvic discomfort. She completed her MBBS before earning an MS in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Later she achieved a fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine, an area that focuses on pregnancies needing closer observation. High blood pressure, diabetes during pregnancy, or other medical conditions often need extra attention. That is where her experience is usually most useful.

Laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery are regular parts of her work. These procedures are often chosen because they use smaller cuts and may help patients recover sooner, though every operation depends on the person's condition. She also treats women with PCOS, hormonal problems, infertility, and other common gynecological disorders. Not every visit ends with an operation. Quite a few women only need medicine, follow-up appointments, or a better understanding of what their reports actually mean. The consultation room is often filled with ultrasound films, laboratory reports, and plenty of questions from family members. That is a familiar picture in women's health clinics across Bangladesh. She also teaches future specialists, so explaining medical issues in simple language seems to come naturally. Some appointments are short. Others take longer because every pregnancy and every patient brings a different set of concerns. That is just part of the job.
