Monoawara Hospital is down on Siddeshwari Road. Ramna area. Traffic is usually stuck right outside the main gate. Rickshaws honking all day. You walk in and it probably smells like strong floor cleaner and old paper. They have a 24/7 emergency room on the ground floor. Just a few metal beds with thin sheets. Writes your name in a thick register book. The pages are probably dog-eared. They have a pharmacy right there. And a blood bank. Just regular hospital stuff.

They do a lot of tests. Probably down in the basement. CT scans. X-rays. The machines make a loud humming noise. People walk out holding those big yellow envelopes with the films inside. They have an ECG room too. Sticky pads on your chest. Wires everywhere. The upper floors have the wards. Medicine. Surgery. Orthopedics. A bit of everything really. Even plastic surgery and cancer care. The corridors get pretty crowded during visiting hours. Relatives bringing food in steel tiffin carriers. The doctors do their rounds in the morning. Check the clipboards hanging on the beds. Tell the nurses what to do. Then they go to the operation theater. That is about it.
