Memorial Specialized Hospital and Diagnostic is right at Charpara Mor in Mymensingh. That whole area is always jammed with rickshaws and ambulances. It is the main medical hub because the government medical college is nearby. A lot of patients come from outside the city. They show up with big travel bags and just sit in the waiting area. The guy at the desk writes your name on a slip. You just wait until the doctor arrives.
They have all kinds of hospital facilities inside. That basically means they have general wards, some private cabins, and an operation theater upstairs. If someone needs surgery, they get admitted there. They also run their own diagnostic center. If the doctor tells you to get an X-ray or an ultrasound, you do not need to go out to another clinic. You just walk down the hall. Pay the bill at the counter. The technician does the test and tells you when to collect the report. They hand over the X-ray film in a big plastic envelope. You take it back upstairs to the doctor. He holds it up against the tube light to look at the bones. Writes down some medicine. Then you go buy it from the pharmacy outside.
